Thank You Jenson

After such a long 16 years spells journey in Formula 1, Jenson Button announced his semi retirement from sports in 2016 Italian Grand Prix.

Jenson, known as his ability to read the race situation and also his smooth driving style, and of course do mention his 2009 world championship winning years after just in a short time he couldn’t get drive at all, before Mr Ross Brawn offered him as his racing driver along with legendary Rubens Barrichello.

Now he’s been off the grid for 2017 and possibly beyond, but McLaren has decided to make a “three driver strategy” for 2017 which relegated and promoted Stoffel Vandoorne, their current reserve driver into the race seat alongside the two time world champion,Fernando Alonso and meanwhile Jenson has received the offer as their reserve driver for 2017 and also as McLaren Ambassador while in 2018 McLaren hasn’t opted out that Jenson could return to the grid.

Meanwhile, out of 305 starts of grand prix weekend (which also 2nd or 3rd in all time starter history in Formula 1), Jenson has produced 15 wins,8 Fastest Lap,8 Pole Position,50 Podiums and of course his 1 winning world championship back then in 2009.

Many suggests that Jenson is underrated compared to other drivers, but oh boy,you may not look the history.
There are some interesting history beyond Jenson itself, both on and off track.

·        He scored his first points in 2000 with BMW WILLIAMS in just the 2nd race of the season which back then claimed he as the youngest driver ever to score a point (which back then the point scoring rules are different compared to now)

·        Jenson win his first race back then in 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix which he start from the back of the grid,14th but managed to stay cautious in extreme wet condition and shows to everyone that he has the ability to win a grand prix and his skills on wet were superb.

·        He took the championship by finishing in 5th place after start from 14th on the grid due to massive understeer in his car during qualifying session which saw Rubens, his teammate and current rival in the championship by 14 points, take pole position for the race, sadly he could only managed 8th after his late rear left puncture which possibly caused by Lewis Hamilton overtake.

·        Jenson were clueless after Brawn withdrawal from the sports, but then McLaren offered him a drive alongside the more stabilized and a world champion too as well,Lewis Hamilton.

·        Jenson interesting charisma were well known in the paddock and also by his fans.

·        He took his first win debut with McLaren in 2010 Australian Grand Prix, the second race of the season, which saw a treacherous wet-dry race action.

·
He indeed outperformed his teammate Lewis Hamilton during his spell with McLaren until 2012.

·
Who doesn’t remember 2011 Canadian Grand Prix eh? Six pit stop, colliding with your teammate, colliding with your rival (Fernando Alonso),received a drive through, plump last,a wet treacherous condition, two red flag, safety car everywhere,4 hours race, and all of a sudden, only Jenson can do that from the back of the grid by wrestles his McLaren MP4-26 into the pack of the grid and also Sebastian Vettel in P1,which in a last lap,he made an error by driving into the wet patch and allowed Jenson to take the victory!

·        He also one of the drivers beyond Michael Schumacher and possibly Alain Prost to win his 200 grand prix in 2011 Hungarian Grand Prix which also a wet-dry race action.

·        His finest ability to control the car and tyres were proved once again in 2012,by winning the Australian GP,the Belgian GP and of course his last win and McLaren last win in Brazilian GP which also a very treacherous wet race.

Well there are so many precious memories from Jenson which I think it’s enough to write it,if you wonder more you can search it by yourself and see this man as a worthy world champions and of course a truly gifted drivers in wet weather condition.

Until then, farewell Jenson, thanks for all kind of memories you’ve been giving to us,we will miss you.

Ron Dennis steps down from McLaren role

Ron at 2016 Japanese GP

Formula 1 will never quite be the same again.
Across four decades at the helm of McLaren, Ron Dennis became famous for a sometimes complex turn of phrase which became affectionately known as 'Ronspeak'.

After being forced to step down from his roles as chief executive and chairman, we bring you some gems uttered down the years by one of F1's most legendary and successful figures...

"When I came into motor racing so many things were a black art. But black art was a cloak for 'we don't really know'. It was intuitive engineering. I decided to make it a science. We will develop science to take away uncertainty to make winning a certainty."
In other words: There's nothing flukey about victory.

Big 'ol Ron at 2016 USA GP

"Focus is thought to be good, obsession is thought to be bad. But basically they're the same thing. And then there's ego. Ego is a core ingredient of ambition. Ambition and ego are close bed-fellows. And, like everybody I suppose, I seek happiness. It's an uncomplicated objective. I don't see happiness as laughing or clapping your hands. I see it as the opposite of unhappiness, the opposite of anger, of depression. If you can get into that state of mind, you're going to be far more productive."
In other words: I'm only happy when we're winning.

"Surprisingly for us, the psychological blow of it raining halfway through qualifying in Australia was much greater than we anticipated."
In other words: We didn't see the wet stuff coming.

Alonso joking around with Big Ron

"I wish Lewis really, really well. He's been nurtured well through his career and I feel none of the emotions that attribute to me."
In other words: Don't believe everything you read in the press.
"Life isn't about one person deciding anything. It's never that way. It's about circumstances. Everybody says: 'Am I bitterly this or bitterly that?' What? I'm a realist."
In other words: Get real.
"I continue to love the sport of Formula 1 with every fibre of my being."
In other words: I like F1 - a lot.

"First of all our shareholders have a position, then the board has a position and then Martin has to handle what that position is. It would be totally inappropriate for me to say anything that would undermine Martin's position."
In other words: Know your position.

Ron doing just fine

"I hate shopping. I don't shop, at all. Fortunately my creditworthiness allows for a shop to release quantities of product so I can choose at home."
In other words: They shop, they drop.

"From our perspective, and ours is more qualified because we are not hiding from our inadequacies, it is statistically not borne out that we have huge reliability problems.
In other words: Don't mention unreliability.
"Inevitably you have a greater interest in seeing what he says and how he says it. I am more impressed when it is a pure quote rather than something he is reputed to have said. He is very well put together in the mind."

In other words: He thinks well.
"I used to go to bed with the vacuum cleaner going because my mum wanted the house immaculate when she got up. That's the ethos I grew up with, everything had to be perfect all the time. That's why I am such a pain to live with. I don't want chaos; my homes are my tranquillity bases."
In other words: Wipe your feet before entering.

Ron with Niki Lauda at 2016 Spanish GP

"I am very driven by aesthetics. When I look at our cars, my own enthusiasms therefore tend to be a little more influenced by aesthetics than you might expect. On the other hand, I am a firm believer in the adage that form follows function - or, to put it another way, a fast racing car is surprisingly often a beautiful racing car."
In other words: A quick car looks fast.
"So, to revert to the specificity of your question, I'm not going to hypothesise about what might have happened had we done things differently, because I don't think there's anything specifically wrong with the way we've done things."
In other words: Don't doubt me

2016 ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX TYRE SELECTION

Pirelli have revealed the individual tyre selections for each driver ahead of next weekend's championship finale, the 2016 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with Mercedes’ title contenders Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton making identical choices for the Yas Marina race.

The purple-marked ultrasoft compound is the preferred tyre of every driver, with the red-marked supersoft and yellow-marked soft also available. For their 13-set selection, Rosberg and Hamilton have opted for seven ultrasoft, two supersoft and four soft.

The team making the most conservative selection is Red Bull, with both Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen going for six sets of ultrasoft, two of supersoft, and five of the most durable - but slowest - soft compound.
