Pirelli have revealed the individual tyre selections for each
driver ahead of next weekend's championship finale, the 2016 Formula 1 Etihad
Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with Mercedes’ title contenders Nico Rosberg and
Lewis Hamilton making identical choices for the Yas Marina race.
The purple-marked ultrasoft compound is the preferred tyre of
every driver, with the red-marked supersoft and yellow-marked soft also
available. For their 13-set selection, Rosberg and Hamilton have opted for
seven ultrasoft, two supersoft and four soft.
The team making the most conservative selection is Red Bull,
with both Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen going for six sets of ultrasoft,
two of supersoft, and five of the most durable - but slowest - soft compound.
